grace, grief, suffering, loss, death, and Christ on the cross

It is in a moment of grace that I most find myself.  Grace seems to only fall upon me in those moments of complete surrender; and those moments of complete surrender only fall upon me when all the fixes and security measures I’ve put in place to stop the inevitable fall away…and allows the inevitable to tumble into my life.  The inevitable being the loss of the people I love the most, the loss of home and security, the loss of a steady income and the “extra’s” that bring beauty and peace into an otherwise bleak existence.   The inevitable is most often the death of one thing opening to the birth of the next.  Moments blending together to create the new consciousness.  Until I accepted the inevitable death of everything I could not move away from stagnation and depression and join again to with the living.  Somewhere in this bleak existence the soul is finely allowed to have a voice and the spirit is finally allowed a home within the body.  Grief, suffering, pain and loss give birth to the strength of the Self…the flexibility and enduring existence of being all.

My experience has been that in these moments of complete surrender, as the Christ figure on the Cross, God is allowed to fill us and make contact with the manifest…the earth.  God is then in communion with the earth and the opposing elements within the Self are in conversation allowing harmony for earth to gain her own consciousness.
